Two students from Lale Youth International School awarded bronze medals in the 7th International Turkish Language Olympiads

Three students from Lale Youth International School participated in the 7th Turkish Language Olympiads in which 115 countries participated in Turkiye and two of the students were awarded bronze medals.

The two students who received bronze medals are Huwaina Mohamed (Bronze Medal in Song Competition) and Shafra Hassan (Bronze Medal In Poem Competition). The third student who participated in this event is Rizma Hussain. She received an Honorable Mention in the Speaking Competition.

The three students who participated in the Olympiads are studying in the 7th grade. .

President of Turkiye, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Gül has praised students participating in the 7th International Turkish Olympiads, saying they would help build bridges between Turkiye and their own countries.

The students also participated in a cultural festival over the weekend in Ankara to promote their countries. The festival, which took place in Ankara's Altınpark as the opening event of the Turkish Olympiads, attracted many visitors from Ankara and neighboring provinces.

The students brought traditional costumes, photos, food, handcrafts and music from their countries to exhibit at the festival. Not only were food and drawings present, but various musical instruments were exhibited as well. People enthusiastically applauded Maldivian students who performed Turkish and Maldivian folk dances. The students also served “Mashuni and Roshi” to the visitors.
