Foundation stone for new classroom blocks laid in three schools

Under the single session schools program, foundation stones for new classroom blocks were laid in three schools on the 26th of July.

The schools in which the new classroom blocks being made are HA Dhidhdhoo School, HA Ihavandhoo School and Seenu Hithadhoo School. The foundation stone for HA Dhidhdhoo School new building was laid by Minister of Education Dr. Mustafa Lutfi, State Minister for Communication and Transport Mr. Adam Manik and the School Captain of Dhidhdhoo School Mohamed Shuaau. The foundation stone for HA Ihavandhoo School was laid by Minister of Education Dr. Mustafa Lutfi and the School Captain Hassan Sameeh. The foundation stone for Seenu Hithadhoo School was laid by the Hulhumeedhoo sector parliament member Mr. Ilyas Labeeb.

Construction work is also in progress for 2 class rooms in HA Kelaa School and HA Thuraakunu School. Tender work is planned to begin for GN Fuah Mulah School and Maafushi School classrooms and hall.

It is estimated that work on the three schools for which the foundation stones were laid on the 26th July will be completed in about 6 months.
