Ministry of Education is now allocated on the 8th and 9th floor of Velaanaage Building. The sections and departments of the Ministry moved to the Velaanaage Building on the 26th of July 2010.

All the sections of the Ministry except Educational Development Centre (EDC), Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and Department of Public Examinations (DPE) are now based in the new offices.
