Centre for Continuing Education is holding an “Open Day” today. The inauguration of the day was held at 0900 in the morning at the CCE annex opposite Aminiya School. The aim of this open day is to introduce the courses which they would be conducting this year and also to give information about the work done in CCE.

Minister of Education Dr. Mustafa Lutfi inaugurated the “Open Day” activities. In a short speech given at the inauguration, Minister Lutfi said that it gave him pleasure to see that CCE was also following the decentralization policy of broadening the education system.

The main work conducted in CCE are conducting in-service professional courses, Pre-school teacher training, give a second chance at education for those who had been deprived of it and also various social activities. Five stalls were open today at the centre to provide information and sell a few books.

The “Open Day” activities will be held from 0900 hours to 1800 hours. Senior officials of the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, staff and students of CCE participated in the inauguration meeting today.
