The Chinese Embassy in the Maldives has donated Air Conditioner Units to the Ministry of Education. 
 The ACs were handed over to the ministry by China's Ambassador to Maldives H.E. Wang Lixin. On behalf of the Maldives, the ACs were received by the Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister noted the Chinese government's assistance to the Cool School project, which symbolizes the close friendship between the two countries. 

The Minister also said that the Cool School project is a vision of the President. The concept of the project is to provide comfort to the students, he said, adding that the aim of each school will be to work in a cool environment to improve the relationship between students and teachers.

 Speaking at the ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador expressed her hope that the project will bring about a positive change in the education sector of the Maldives.
